Senior Account Manager

Location : Remote (UK-based) occasional meetings in our Farnborough office Employment Type : Full-time, Permanent Start Date : ASAP Eligibility : Must have the right to work in the UK Occasional Travel Required

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Account Manager with a strong background in software development or technology services to join our growing Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with key clients, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while nurturing and expanding relationships to drive long-term value.

You will act as the main point of contact for strategic accounts, collaborating with internal delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
  • Understand clients' business goals and challenges, translating them into actionable project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams, project managers, and technical leads to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, renewal, and cross-selling of services.
  • Prepare and deliver account reviews, performance updates, and commercial reports.
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of accounts, including budgets, forecasts, and contract renewals.
  • Act as an escalation point for client concerns, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal account management processes and best practices.
  • Attend occasional in-person meetings and company events at our Farnborough office.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in Account Management, ideally within a software development or digital consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and technology-led project delivery.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple complex accounts simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial awareness with experience in handling budgets, forecasting, and contract discussions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment, while maintaining strong collaboration with distributed teams.
  • Confident using various project management tools.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value and excellence.
