Skilled Nursing Facility – Food Service Manager
We are seeking a qualified, experienced Food Service Manager to lead our Food & Nutrition operations.
Requirements :
Previous healthcare food service experience required
CDM credential (or ability to acquire)
Strong leadership, organizational, and administrative skills
Knowledge of state / federal regulations and dietary standards
Compassionate, professional, and personable with residents, families, and staff
Job Summary :
The Food Service Manager oversees all aspects of the dietary department, including planning, organizing, staffing, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with regulations. This role ensures high-quality, nutritious meals while fostering a safe, clean, and resident-focused environment. The Food Service Manager reports directly to the Administrator.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain dietary policies / procedures in compliance with regulations
Lead, motivate, and manage dietary staff
Oversee food ordering, storage, and inventory control
Ensure safe food preparation, sanitation, and infection control practices
Monitor food and labor costs while maintaining quality service
Maintain dietary records and work collaboratively with consultants and administration
Ensure proper maintenance of food service equipment
