Credit Products Analyst

At Regions, the Credit Products Analyst works as part of the credit and underwriting analysis team in support of various client coverage groups. The Analyst serves as the primary analytical support for the Credit Products group and bankers in the origination and execution of underwriting and analysis projects. This role will support teams in the following segments : Home Builder Finance, Income Property Finance, Real Estate Corporate Banking, Commercial, Government and Institutional Banking, Equipment Finance, Regions Business Capital (asset-based lending), and Corporate and Specialized Industries.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Develops and maintains detailed financial models to value companies and depict projected financial
  • Conducts extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk / return parameters of a transaction results
  • Ensures high quality of client deliverables by having strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Prepares written material, including pitches, proposals, client materials and associated supporting analyses
  • Maintains proprietary databases through monitoring news, current events, transactions and financial information for clients, prospects, and other industry participants
  • Provides expert service with a high sense of urgency in the coordination of Credit Products associates and coverage bankers to ensure alignment with our mission of delivering the whole bank to the client with speed, certainty, and creativity
  • Supports Credit Products Associates and Product Managers with servicing and portfolio management activities
  • Successful candidates will be expected to assume a substantial amount of responsibility. The Analyst will be required to work in multiple roles and on multiple projects, both independently and as part of a team.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements :

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field with proven record of high achievement
  • Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • The Commercial Leveraged Credit Products Analyst supports CLCP Senior Portfolio Managers ("Product Specialists") and Associates in the servicing, screening, underwriting, negotiation, and documentation of Commercial leveraged transactions. The Analyst will serve on Deal Teams that evaluate acquisition financings, strategic refinancings, and other complex transactions.

    Supports Product Specialists and Associates in credit screening, end-to-end servicing, underwriting, closing, and documentation of transactions through independent functions and collaboration with team members

    Models transactions for both sponsor and corporate clients

    Performs detailed due diligence in order to properly sensitize model and analyze creditworthiness

    Communicates with coverage and credit risk partners when appropriate

    Helps ensure effective portfolio management of loans post-close

    Upholds consistent underwriting, due diligence, and legal documentation review practices

    Assists Product Specialists and Associates with review of loan documents pre-closing

    Reviews closing due diligence in collaboration with Product Specialists and Associates

    Maintains market knowledge of leveraged loan pricing, structuring, and leverage lending financing solutions

    Compensation Details :

    Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include : experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

    Job Range Target : Minimum : $63,794.12 USD Median : $81,385.50 USD Incentive Pay Plans : This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
