Job Title : General Production Worker - 200 Building

Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for the comprehensive manufacturing process of magnet wire products. This involves handling raw materials, feeding raw wire into production lines, setting machines based on specifications, operating and troubleshooting basic machine issues, and ensuring quality through HMI touchscreen readings. You will document in-process updates, use an overhead crane to move finished spools, and operate a forklift for material movement. The role is primarily focused on overseeing automated lines, which handle most of the physical work.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw materials and prepare them for production.
• Load production line by feeding raw wire.
• Understand specification sheets to set machines.
• Operate and troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Pull in-process enamel samples and ensure quality through HMI readings.
• Document all required in-process updates by hand.
• Use overhead crane to move finished spools of wire.
• Operate a forklift to store finished products in the warehouse.

Work Environment

The facility is clean and well-maintained, though some areas can be loud and hot. It is a traditional manufacturing environment that is expanding, with plans to add new lines. The shifts operate on a 2 / 2 / 3 schedule, with the first shift from 8 AM to 8 PM and the third shift from 8 PM to 8 AM. Employees are encouraged to dress comfortably for a manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.40 - $21.65 / hr.
