• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM
• Must be comfortable working on ALL PCU and MS units as a float nurse
• Patient ratios : PCU average 5 : 1, MS average 6 : 1 (may flex up to 7 : 1)
• Floating required : Re-evaluated every 4 hours, may float 2-3 times per shift
• May be required to float to CRCH to Inpatient Rehab
• Weekend requirement : Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS
• 2 years of experience required
• Must be experienced in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP / BiPAP, and chest tubes
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, titrating cardiac drips
• Capable of managing PCA and heparin protocols, administering IV insulin
• Background in telemetry and stepdown-level care (PCU / DOU / IMC) with cardiovascular experience required
• Must respond to emergencies via Rapid Response / Code teams
• 24 hours of orientation provided
