Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and CT proficiency for a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care, Level II Trauma diagnostic radiology department
  • Assignment includes both inpatient and outpatient cases, with experience in the OR and ER required
  • Use of Cerner EMR and Philips iPatient 64 and Big Bore 16 equipment
  • Evening shifts on Mon-Wed from 3 : 00 PM to 1 : 30 AM every other week
  • CT experience is a requirement for this position
  • Must be prepared to work holidays as needed
  • Orientation includes 1-2 shifts in the department
  • Scrub color is teal; OR scrubs provided when working in the operating room
  • Position includes working with C-arms in the OR
  • Radiologist is on-site until 6 PM, then on-call
  • Department is well-staffed, but resources may be more limited on night shifts
  • Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
  • Level II trauma experience is preferred, but not required

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Radiology Technologist
  • CT experience required
  • Active ARRT (R), BLS, and Fluoroscopy certifications required through the state of CA
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high acuity trauma setting is essential
  • Must be a self-starter able to work independently
  • Providing a copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration
  • Two professional references required : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years (including dates of employment and rehire eligibility)
