JOB SUMMARY :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong background in union construction payroll compliance. This role ensures accurate processing of union payroll, union reporting, and adherence to federal, state, and union regulations, including certified payroll reportingKEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Payroll (Union-Focused) :
Process weekly union payroll, including fringe benefits, prevailing wage, and certified payroll reports. Filing Intent to pay prevailing wage and Affidavit of Wages paidMaintain compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), union dues, and benefit trust contributionsCoordinate with project managers and superintendents for accurate labor coding and timekeepingPrepare and submit union reporting to various locals / trust funds (e.g., LIUNA, Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons, Operating Engineers)Respond to payroll audits and ensure data accuracyKnowledge of Foundation Accounting Software and HeavyJob a plusQUALIFICATIONS :
At least 3+ years of payroll in a union construction environment preferredProficient in construction accounting software (Foundation & HeavyJob preferred)Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws, certified payroll, and union remittance processesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management skillsStrong knowledge of prevailing wage laws, certified payroll, and union remittance processesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
