Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a Legal Practice Assistant for its Wilmingtonoffice to support attorneys in its Captive Insurance Team in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group. The specific duties of the Legal Practice Assistant are driven by the particular needs of the attorneys and legal team being supported. In this position you would likely provide the following services :
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Be the front line of on-going client interactions.
- Work with Billing Department and the Business Process Coordinator to resolve billing problems and efficiently process final billing statements and letters.
- Assistance with preparing and reviewing documents in connection with the formation and operation of insurance companies, including coordinating closing documents and signatures and closing binders.
- Manage attorney calendars and remind them of various meetings, appointments, etc. This includes scheduling and managing annual meetings, travel logistics and coordinating meals / refreshments for meetings.
- Open new clients and matters and facilitate the conflicts process for new and existing ones.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records such as name / address list and client / matter numbers.
- File correspondence and legal documents according to the office filing system.
- Oversee all expense processing.
- Registering and coordinating travel for conferences, client development and CLEs. Keep CLE records up to date.
- Filing various documents with the Delaware Secretary of State.
- Preparation of communications and filings with state and federal government agencies.
- Assistance with creating and maintaining minute books and preparation of stock certificates and related stock and similar records.
- Assist attorney with accurate daily entering of attorney / paralegal time into accounting system.
- Perform other duties required based upon the unique practice of the attorney, such as, but not limited to, administrative work, practice development initiatives, and committee projects and responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS :
