Job Title : Field Engineer

Job Description :
We are seeking a Field Engineer based in Midland, TX, responsible for daily travel to upstream Oil & Gas facilities, including well pads.
The primary responsibilities include :
- Conducting Field Equipment Walkdown and verifying P&ID against As-Is conditions.
- Updating P&ID / Engineering documents based on field observations.
- Utilizing client-provided inspection applications to capture equipment photos and data.
- Documenting equipment information such as field identification and nameplate data.
- Potential lifting of equipment up to 30 lbs.
- Submitting daily field walkdown reports to the town office.
- Operating company 4x4 vehicles daily, which may involve off-road driving.
- Ensuring the vehicle is maintained in operational condition.
- Submitting expenses through the Company's online system.
This role involves fieldwork five days a week, with additional expectations to :
- Adhere to safety practices during all tasks.
- Stay overnight outside of Midland at the Company's expense if required.
- Rent a 4x4 vehicle at the Company's expense if a company vehicle is unavailable.
- Maintain professionalism and follow Coordinator's instructions.
Education :
Engineering degree or Diploma in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience :
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Skills :
Facility walk-down activities :
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, modifying, and creating engineering documents.
- Conducting plant walk-downs for verification and creating mark-ups.
- Ability to sketch drawings from scratch where necessary.
- Collecting essential equipment details from nameplates.
- Familiarity with design and drafting techniques, CAD / Graphics, and safety procedures.
Experience with Microsoft Suite :
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Teams, and MS Office tools.
- Willingness to configure necessary applications on personal devices.
- Familiarity with company portals for claim submission, timesheet entry, etc.
Communication, Planning, and Reporting :
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Consistent reporting of daily field activities.
- Ability to plan weekly activities and prepare necessary checklists.
- Effective collaboration with project teams and customers.
- Ability to represent information and respond to questions in meetings effectively.
