Works under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services or designee. Assists endoscopy and surgical teams before, during, and after surgery by performing the following duties.

Here is What You Will Be Doing :
Identifies and selects the instruments and equipment necessary for endoscopy proceduresMaintains strict aseptic techniqueAssists the proceduralist during the procedureAnticipates needs to expedite the procedure thereby minimizing the patient's exposure to traumaProperly maintains sterile instruments and adheres to proper sterilization techniques according to department policyMaintains competency in scope cleaning, storage, management and handlingAssists with room turnover and cleaning after each caseRestocks operating rooms as neededCollaborates with and assists professional staff as neededTransports patients to and from surgery after checking the chart for appropriate documentationAssist the OR RN with patient care, , transfer of patients to and from bed, position and prep, opening sterile supplies, apply monitor leads, and transport equipment to and from the roomHandles equipment, instruments, and supplies appropriately to prevent damage or loss.Desired Skills :
