Travel ICU RN Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary : $2020-$2070 Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse – ICU / PCU Float Location : Roanoke, VA 24014 (Virginia healthcare jobs) Contract Length : 13 weeks Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Shifts per Week : 3 (12-hour night shifts : 18 : 45 – 07 : 15) Total Hours : 36 hours / week Orientation : 24 hours Charting System : EPIC (EPIC experience required) Patient Population : Adults, Geriatrics Unit Ratios : PCU 5 : 1, ICU 2 : 1 ICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (2 years preferred) Experience in a large Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility required Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (current and valid) COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to float to all ICU and PCU units; floating may occur 2-3 times per shift Must work at least one holiday per 13-week contract Weekend requirement : 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule or every other weekend Pending RN license accepted (with restrictions) ICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and PCU environments Float between ICU and PCU units based on staffing needs (re-evaluated every 4 hours) Perform IV therapy, arterial line management, central / PICC line care, and blood product administration Manage respiratory support, including BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator patients Administer medications : continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, cardiac / vasoactive drip titration Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias Provide wound care for surgical wounds, drains, and wound vacs Follow IV insulin protocols and infection prevention procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, etc.) Accurately document patient care using EPIC Ready to take your ICU nursing career to the next level in Roanoke, VA?
