GPS Finish Dozer Operator

HBC offers competitive pay with an excellent benefits package! Job Summary GPS Finish Dozer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Dozer.

The Dozer Operator levels and scoops soil and controls the direction and angle of the equipment to move rocks and debris.

Primary Responsibilities : Take action to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.

Able to perform equipment inspections i.e. checking all fluid levels, visually inspecting equipment, start engines, move throttles, switches and levers.

Align Machine with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, shovels, graders or related equipment Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members Fully understanding of linework, and surface construction in a GPS bulldozer, able to Freehand operate as well, follow safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications : Must have minimum 2 years’ experience running, maneuvering, driving and navigating equipment. Must have previous GPS Dozer experience.

Must have experience achieving finish grade, cut swalls, grade pond slopes. Prefer candidates with High School Diploma or GED (not required) Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively Must be accustomed to working outdoors with all weather conditions Must be able to perform physical activities that require bending, lifting (up to 40lbs), squatting, walking, and handling of materials Must have adequate transportation to and from jobsite (Jobsites vary) Medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance.
