The opportunity

Teva is searching for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our hospital sales team in the Central Region. This position will be part of the newly created sales team focused on the psychiatry space and responsible for the performance of an approved long-acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia.

The RSM will hire, onboard, and lead a team of 8-10 sales associates. The RSM will be responsible for achieving and delivering results in a compliant and ethical manner.

The RSM will possess an understanding of organizational objectives and align resources appropriately to meet those objectives.

While pursuing their goals, the incumbent will uphold the culture and values of Teva in all interactions and business matters.

They will analyze trends and apply knowledge to help the sales team accomplish its sales goals. Additionally, the RSM will effectively and efficiently plan and complete all business activities via aligned objectives and analytics and will maximize available resources.

The RSM will build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial networks / relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The RSM will possess impactful and influential communication and presentation skills and keep the objective in mind while moving the sales team towards a solution.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The following areas of responsibility are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbent. Any nonessential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.

  • Identify, recruit, coach, and retain top talent for the Teva Psychiatry sales team
  • Develop expertise and coach others on regional business focus areas, including settings of care, payer and pull-through opportunities, and flawless execution of the marketing strategy
  • Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed regional sales goals
  • Coach / train others in different settings of care to identify key business opportunities
  • Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training
  • Adhere to all Teva compliance guidelines, operate with integrity, and ensure the sales team adheres to these policies
  • Review weekly / monthly data reports to identify trends and make plans to address concerns
  • Coach teams on the execution of the defined call plan for each territory representative
  • Coach teams towards success from hire date onward, providing appropriate counseling, encouragement, and oversight to ensure effective execution of brand strategy
  • Spend 90+ days in the field, supporting local sales representatives
  • Ideal candidate will live in Ohio, Michigan, or Illinois region.

Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and / or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education / Certification / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 1.5 years of pharmaceutical first-line sales management or related people management or for internal candidates demonstrated leadership ability to manage teams required
  • A record of successfully achieving sales goals and building, coaching, and developing effective sales teams required
  • Experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred
  • Specific experience with long-acting injectables for the treatment of schizophrenia preferred
  • Recent Experience of successfully launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care preferred
  • Injectable and in-office administration experience within a mental health facility preferred
  • Experience in rare disease space, working with Specialty Pharmacies, Buy and Bill, and HUB services strongly preferred

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

  • Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology
  • Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull through strategies as well as experience in all pertinent settings of business (CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice)
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record required

Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. requires all U.S. new hires for customer facing roles will be required to complete all credentialing requirements for access to their customers’ targets within 60 days of their start date.

Such credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, additional vaccinations and medical testing. Any request for an exception to the credentialing requirements will need to be approved by the national sales leader within the first 60 days of employment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Extensive travel throughout the assigned region, which may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Occasional :

Sit for extended periods of time at workstation or mobile equipment.

Visual acuity :

Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (ie, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves).
