Senior Director Of Jewish Life
Purpose : The Mishkon Division provides support and services in a healthy and safe environment for adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I / DD) in residential programs and in the community. Position Overview : Reporting to the Executive Program Director, the Senior Director of Jewish Life is responsible for working with leadership and staff to ensure that all Mishkon programs and services integrate and adhere to Orthodox principles. This role involves providing leadership, strategic direction, and oversight to maintain the religious integrity and cultural identity of the programs for the benefit of individuals. The Senior Director is also the primary contact for families, engaging families, communicating regularly with them and collaborating with program staff to address any concerns they may have. The Sr. Director of Jewish Life directly supervises assigned staff and is part of the Mishkon leadership team.

Core Competencies :
Educational / Training Required : High school diploma with some college or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required, with a master's degree preferred OR (Orthodox) Rabbinic Ordination.
Experience Required / Language Preference : Minimum of 5 years in a leadership position in a healthcare, social service, Orthodox religious organization or similar entity. Prior experience, either professionally or lived experience, with IDD services and systems. Prior experience, either professionally or lived experience, in an Orthodox Jewish organization. English speaking, Hebrew preferred.
Computer Skills Required : Must be able to navigate Office 365. Familiarity with electronic health records.
Visual and Manual Dexterity : The candidate should be able to read documents for analytical purposes such as computer information, software, computer graphic design programs, business analytical dashboards, etc. Limited applications of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Work Environment / Physical Effort : The position requires the ability to travel throughout Brooklyn. Regularly required to sit for up to 90% of the day. Hybrid work environment.
