Iron Mountain is seeking a Senior Consultant position to provide Records and Information Management (RIM) services for the state and local government marketplace.
The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience providing records management support services in the state and local government sector.
Candidate should possess demonstrated knowledge and experience applying analytic methodologies and principles to address client needs.
Candidate should have experience in the formulation and application of both paper and electronic records management policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Candidate will operate and maintain the records management system to include receipt, storage, retrieval, and disposition of agency records.
The candidate will adhere to documented legal requirements and government regulations affecting retention, dissemination, access, and storage of information.
Required Skills / Knowledge :
- Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of project objectives and contributes to the implementation of strategic direction.
- Effective verbal and written communication with client, other operational teams, and upper management;
- Conducts activities in support of project team’s objectives and works closely with Consultants, Task Leads, and Project Manager
- Assess existing records schedules and business processes
- Coordinate with program offices to review records created and managed
- Support the drafting of records schedules, review / update of records policy, and file plans
- Complete inventory of records in both physical and electronic format
- Support records program outreach, communication activities, and development of training materials
- Demonstrable knowledge of records laws, policies, guidelines, and procedures dictated by state and local government recordkeeping guidelines
- Familiarity with using records tracking software
- Comfortable with common office software including MS-Office Suite
- Develop weekly and monthly status reports
Minimum Educational Requirement : BA / BS
Preferred Certifications :
Certified Records Management - CRM
Information Governance Professional - IGP
