Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant at Xendoo has a strong knowledge of accounting, and accounting software, and operates from the details.  You can communicate complex accounting principles in simple terms.  You understand the journey of the small business owner and care deeply about their success.  You are solution-focused and can solve difficult problems strategically, thinking critically to find multiple paths to resolution. You are drawn to technology to make your life better and you embrace change.  You enjoy speaking with customers, bringing them insights into their financials to improve their business, and proactively communicating to prevent issues.

In a nutshell :

• Advance-level accounting knowledge (from Cash-basis through Accrual accounting), understands GAAP, and can apply theory practically to everyday accounting
• Strategic - can assess information and determine a go-forward path to resolution
• Analytical and critical thinker – can think outside the box, think through complex situations, recognize there is always a solution, and find the win-win
• Deeply understands financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, and more) and can analyze and provide guidance to customers and the Xendoo team
• Strong expertise in accounting software flow and can troubleshoot errors
• Proficient in explaining complex accounting in simple terms to customers and Xendoo team
• Is a great communicator in written and verbal form and understands the importance of communication
• A problem solver who takes action, believes in following the process, is excited about helping others, and asks for help when needed
• Is detailed – understands the how and the why, and will dig deeper to get to the answer
• Collaborative – enjoys working as a team
• Confident – believes in their ability, and knowledge, while knowing their strengths

The Must Haves :

• Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
• 5+ years’ experience in full cash-basis and accrual-basis accounting cycles : bookkeeping, A / P and A / R, journal entries, monthly and year-end close, financial statement review and analysis
• Be flexible and embrace change

• Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
