Property & Acquisition Specialist 3 (Pas3)
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity. Are you passionate about the sustainable management of our state's natural resources, but also have a mind for real estate, rights-of-way, project management, and solving puzzles? This position is an entry-level opportunity working with the Engineering Divisions' Rights-of-Way Program, working on easements, licenses, permits, and other land management agreements supporting both division and region staff. This position will also perform quality control and assist in other duties as assigned, including research into land transactions, property rights, and land ownership.
Responsibilities include :
- Document tracking, including assisting with the routing of documents for signature
- Data entry into complex databases
- Quality control
- GIS data entry
- Document scanning
- Quality assurance
- Document closeout
- Assisting in public disclosure requests
- Other duties as assigned
Required qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the position, including real estate, arboriculture, forestry, urban forestry, rights-of-way, legal studies, project management, or government administration AND one (1) or more years of experience as a property and acquisition specialist 2 or equivalent. OR two (2) or more years of experience in a field relevant to the position, including real estate, arboriculture, forestry, urban forestry, rights-of-way, legal studies, project management, or government administration. In-office : professional office environment (desks, cubicles, conference rooms, records vault) with traditional seated-at-desk workstation or standing-at-desk work station.Occasional travel.Desired qualifications :
