Project Engineer

Overview

AMP is hiring an experienced Project Engineer to support the design and procurement of waste sortation equipment. The role is hybrid, based in Louisville, CO, with occasional travel to Portsmouth, VA.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party equipment selection, approval, and design validation : fitment checks, adherence to design / maintenance / operational specifications, and drawing sign-offs.
• Construct and validate bills of materials.
• Review engineering drawings for chutes, transitions, and structures. Ensure designs meet requirements, contain correct metadata, and can be easily fabricated.
• Review and approve ECOs in Arena PLM system.
• Collaborate with project managers on schedule, reporting, and production release for procurement.
• Update and maintain facility design requirement documentation in collaboration with operations and maintenance.
• Create tools and processes that make design requirements easy to reference and follow, automating adherence where possible.
• Document as-built deviations and maintain as-built documentation.
• Review systems to ensure adherence to all local OSHA, ASTM, and structural codes and standards.

Hybrid or full-time in-office at AMP's Louisville, CO HQ. Living in the Portsmouth, VA area with ability to commute to Portsmouth plant as needed.
