The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for driving profitable growth within a defined region by leading business development efforts, strengthening client relationships, and executing the company’s strategic sales plan. This role combines direct selling with leadership. Ensuring sales representatives within the territory are meeting performance expectations while consistently building new opportunities and expanding American Window Film’s market presence. The RSD is held accountable for revenue growth, sales activity, pipeline health, and adherence to company processes within their territory.
Job Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with general contractors, property managers, architects, and other key decision‑makers.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular in‑person visits, presentations, and account management.
- Monitor pipeline activity, bid activity, and closing percentages to ensure consistent performance.
Leadership & Team Enablement
Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support to sales representatives within the assigned area, ensuring they are meeting defined activity and performance metrics.Lead by example in prospecting, client engagement, and closing strategies.Conduct joint sales calls and ride‑alongs to improve team performance and accountability.Review performance data monthly with each team member to address gaps and implement corrective action when needed.Establish clear expectations for sales activity levels (calls, meetings, proposals submitted) and hold the team responsible for consistent execution.Operational Excellence
Collaborate with estimators and Sales Representatives to ensure accurate bids and timely proposals.Utilize CRM and reporting tools to track all activity, forecast accurately and maintain pipeline visibility.Ensure compliance with company sales processes, policies, and customer service standards.Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and client feedback to senior leadership.Qualifications
7+ years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably in construction, building materials, or related industries.3+ years in a sales leadership role with demonstrated success in driving team performance.Strong track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue targets.Exceptional relationship‑building, negotiation, and closing skills.Proficiency in CRM systems and Google business tools.Strong business acumen and ability to analyze data to drive decisions.Key Attributes for Success
