Underwrites, researches and writes Title Policies, in accordance with internal and external policies and regulations.
Ability to handle pro formas, knowledge of endorsements, ability to read a survey.
Essential Functions
Examine title searches or Abstract reports for the preparation of Commitments for Title Insurance.
Prepares appropriate write-ups for commitments and policies with extended coverage.
Properly prices commitments, endorsements and policies using appropriate schedule of fees and charges
Completes calculations of state recording taxes based on multistate / multijurisdictional transactions.
Familiar with all aspects of title work
Properly prices commitments, endorsements, policies and guarantees using appropriate schedule of fees and charges
Utilizes technical bulletins in order to evaluate and resolve problems
Selects appropriate write-ups for commitments and policies both standard and extended coverage and writes error-free
instructions to production typist for same
Skills :
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with company operating systems and knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, strongly desired
Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to research independently as needed
Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

3-5 years title / related real estate experience
Education : High School or Equivalent.
