Position Summary :
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting providers in our medical office settings. Your varied responsibilities will include both administrative and clinical duties, making you an essential partner in delivering quality patient care.
Education / Certification :
High school diploma or equivalent is required.Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is mandatory.Certification through AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NRMA, AAMP, NHA or NCCA is required within six months of your start date.Experience :
Previous experience in a medical facility is preferred.

Your responsibilities will evolve and update over time, including :
Greeting patients and preparing them for examinations.Maintaining current patient information in records.Documenting medication samples dispensed.Oversight of the vaccine program according to state guidelines.Restocking and preparing exam rooms daily.Monitoring inventory and reporting needs to management.Cleaning and sterilizing equipment, assisting with procedural tasks.Performing EKGs and spirometry as necessary.Communicating lab results to patients and coordinating follow-up.Managing prescription refill requests according to office protocols.Preparing specimens for lab testing.Instructing patients on specimen collection procedures.Conducting monthly checks on medications, disposing of expired items as needed.Obtaining precertifications for various medical services.Scheduling patient referrals and outside testing.Maintaining an organized and clean workspace.Ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations.Participating in team collaborations in a Patient Centered Medical Home model.Flexibility to float to other offices and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.Upholding patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements.
