General Counsel - Contract - Texas Bar
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join our team as a Contract General Counsel. This is a remote position open to candidates licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, including recent law school graduates.
Responsibilities :
- Provide legal support and guidance to the organization on various legal matters, including contract review, drafting, and negotiation
- Assist in ensuring the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards set by the Texas Bar
- Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
- Collaborate with different departments to provide legal advice and support
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures
- Maintain organized records of legal documents and correspondence
- Support senior legal staff in managing outside counsel and legal matters as needed
- Stay current with changes in relevant laws and regulations
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar
- Strong academic record and excellent research and writing skills
- Familiarity with contract law and general corporate legal matters
- Ability to analyze legal issues and provide clear, concise recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards
- Proficient in using legal research tools and databases
