We’re hiring! Bon Appétit Management Company operates more than 1,000 cafés around the country for corporations, universities, and museums, as well as a few dozen public restaurants.

Learn more about careers with Bon Appétit : Summary : The Regional Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

You will work closely with your Compass colleagues, as well as wider Compass and client stakeholders to support their different needs.

The Regional Controller will report to the Director of Finance, Compass at Google and will have the opportunity to inspire, lead and develop a small team who will manage the financial aspects of the business, including invoicing, payroll, forecasting, analysis and contract governance.

The great things you’ll doBudgeting / Forecasting : Collaborate with all lines of business and cafe operations to develop realistic and achievable annual budgets for both the client and Compass, as well as quarterly client forecasts.

Monitor and analyze budget variances and KPIs, making recommendations, and taking corrective actions as neededAR Invoicing Process : Establish and maintain efficient processes for issuing invoicesMaintain processes for purchase order creation and monitoringEnsure timely and accurate billing for all services renderedPayroll : Oversee the payroll process for all employees.

Incident escalation to Compass or Sector for resolution.AP Process : Manage the overall process of AP audit / reconciliation.

Manage the AP uploads from vendors to Google through Google’s systems.Collaborate with end users in operations on issue mitigation and training.

Manage the purchase order (PO) process for Google with Relations. Reporting : Prepare reporting for the client forecast versus actual monthly reconciliation.

Prepare reporting for the client Committed Spend monthly meeting based on month to date data.Prepare monthly forecast / committed spend / actual expense for client input into their accounting systems.

Internal Controls : Implement and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard the company s assets and ensure financial data integrity.

Conduct regular reviews of internal control procedures, flagging risks to appropriate parties, and recommending improvements for continued effectiveness.

Ensure that close deadlines are met weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Additional Responsibilities : Oversee the general accounting team, providing guidance and support.

Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders for reporting and research purposes.Manage and ensure year-end reconciliations and audit requests go smoothly.

Support client deliverables and ad hoc requests in an accurate and timely manner.Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).

What we look for in a great candidateBachelor s degree in Accounting or a related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in a financial controller or senior accounting role; food service industry preferred.Proven experience in managing the entire invoicing process.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent skills in G-Suite & Microsoft applications and R, SQL scripts.

Ability to partner with cross-functional finance and operations teams.Ability to handle and manage multiple projects and work streams.
