Job descriptionPrepare and post journal entries, perform account analysis, and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. Review and process intercompany transactions in preparation for consolidated financial statements. Maintain and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts; investigate and explain variances. Execute month-end close activities including accruals, revenue recognition, bank transactions, and asset postings; ensure timely module closures. Reconcile capital leases monthly in compliance with current GAAP standards (ASC 842). Perform balance sheet reconciliations and review general ledger entries; reclassify or adjust expenses as needed with clear documentation. Manage monthly credit card reconciliations, including receipt collection, expense coding, and journal entry processing. Support the Controller and CFO in the annual budgeting process by providing accurate financial data and analysis. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes and compliance with internal controls; recommend process improvements and fraud prevention measures. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3–4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a distribution or logistics environment. Hands-on experience in audit accounting, including internal controls and compliance. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
