One of our fantastic client companies is seeking an exceptional Senior Manager of their IT Mainframe and Operations to join their organization.
This role involves overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of mainframe systems and associated infrastructure.
You’ll be leading a competent team of professionals to ensure the high performance and security of our mainframe systems and also develop long-term strategies to optimize operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee operation, maintenance, and administration of mainframe systems.
- Lead a team of mainframe system programmers, operators, and analysts.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of mainframe infrastructure.
- Implement security policies to protect mainframe systems and data.
- Lead strategic planning and capacity planning.
- Coordinate responses to mainframe-related incidents.
- Manage changes to mainframe systems and infrastructure.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in mainframe operations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in mainframe administration or related roles.
- Familiarity with mainframe hardware, operating systems, and software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving skills.
- Criminal and credit background check is required.

- Proven experience in a managerial role within an applications development environment
- Proficient in database management and deployment processes
- Extensive knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
- Demonstrable experience in design and engineering within a software environment
- Familiarity with CICS and COBOL - All Versions
- Strong ability to lead and mentor a team of developers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
- Relevant industry certifications would be considered a plus.
