Forklift Driver- 2nd Shift

This is a shop hourly position with the primary responsibility of facilitating the movement of products at the end of the assembly process. The Forklift Driver is expected to be a problem solver, critical thinker, and independent worker who maintains a positive attitude and flexibility to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. Additionally, the Forklift Driver must exemplify BAC's core values of : Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, Driving Innovation. The role is crucial to ensuring that all products are moved safely and efficiently throughout the shipping process.

The Mechanic II position is considered semi-skilled and requires a strong foundation in departmental operations, safety awareness, and material handling practices. A successful candidate will demonstrate the following : Experience & Equipment Proficiency, Leadership & Team Collaboration, Communication Skills, Technical & Analytical Abilities, Continuous Improvement & Product Knowledge.

Principal Responsibilities include : possessing a valid forklift operator's permit or license or be eligible to obtain one, maintaining a working knowledge of BAC parts, materials, and equipment, being capable of learning and performing part and equipment retrieval, acquisition, kitting, and storage procedures, being flexible to work a staggered or off shift, providing material handling support to other departments, understanding and applying basic Lean principles, demonstrating consistent performance in key areas, having basic computer literacy, performing all other duties as assigned, maintaining excellent attendance, and being available and willing to work any shift.

Working Conditions include : standing and walking for extended periods, lifting materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, working in a manufacturing and construction-like environment, use of personal protective equipment, and occasional flexibility in work hours or shifts.
