Our client is seeking a senior-level Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and evolution of a secure, scalable cloud security strategy across an enterprise environment. This role offers the opportunity to influence large-scale cloud transformation efforts while balancing strategic architecture ownership with hands-on technical leadership. You’ll play a key role in shaping cloud and identity security standards, guiding modernization initiatives, and mentoring security team members.

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $200,000–$235,000 base salary plus bonus eligibility

What You’ll Do

• Define and lead enterprise cloud security architecture, including standards, frameworks, and best practices

• Partner with architecture, DevOps, and security operations teams to ensure secure design and deployment across hybrid and cloud environments

• Drive identity and access management architecture, supporting roadmap development and implementation efforts

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response capabilities

• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to security team members, fostering continuous improvement and security excellence

What Gets You the Job

• 15+ years of experience in information security, including 5+ years in cloud security architecture roles

• Deep expertise with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including support of cloud migrations or hybrid environments

• Hands-on experience implementing security controls, automation, scripting, or technical problem-solving solutions

• Strong background in identity management, threat monitoring, and vulnerability management within large enterprise environments

• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative leadership style and ability to mentor and influence others
