Under general supervision, the Aquatics Manager on Duty will perform regular and routine duties in the day-to-day aquatic operations of the Erie Community Center and Town-owned aquatic parks and amenities. Our Aquatics area at the Erie Community Center is cherished by our community and we are looking for people who are ready to ensure our patrons have a fun and safe experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Knowledge of : To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate basic knowledge of the principles, practices, trends and methods of recreational aquatics operations and programming in a community setting. Knowledge of guidelines and regulations related to Department, Town, County, State, and Federal policies, and procedures also required.
Skills in : Providing outstanding customer service to a diverse guest population; positive and professional working relationships with all Town staff and the community, may include instruction, communication of rules and regulations and enforcing policies; time management; presenting verbal and written information; the use of standard office equipment, computers, and various software programs; problem solving; following and enforcing all rules, regulations and policies; recognizing safety hazards and sanitation issues and notify supervisors; safely operate a variety of recreation related equipment; remaining composed in emergency situations and working effectively under stressful circumstances; performing CPR, First Aid, and AED to level of certification.
Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a standard recreational pool environment. Work may involve competing demands and performing multiple tasks.
Physical Factors
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally move aquatics equipment of 20lbs or more.
