Job Title : Medical Appointment Clerk

Location : Fleet and Family Medicine Clinic, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA 23708

Second Location : Medical Home Family Medicine / Primary Care Clinic, Sewells Point Clinic, Norfolk, VA 23511

Work Schedule : Monday Friday, 0700 1600 (8.5-hour shift including 30-minute meal break)

Qualifications :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of training as a medical clerk or sufficient on-the-job training in a healthcare administrative role.
• Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical or clinical environment providing administrative support. Knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer skills, and typing at least 20 WPM.
• License / Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or ARC).
• References : 2 professional letters of recommendation written within the last 3 years.
