LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Psychiatry MD in Rhode Island!

About The Position

Our client in Rhode Island is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment, starting on Sep 1, 2025. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, focusing on inpatient civil and forensic psychiatric care, including schizophrenia, mental health issues, and some personality disorders. This role requires a board certification in Psychiatry.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide inpatient psychiatric care focusing on schizophrenia, mental health concerns, and personality disorders.
  • Engage in both civil and forensic psychiatric services.
  • Diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients within the facility.
  • Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Board certification in Psychiatry required.
  • License to practice in Rhode Island necessary.
  • Experience with forensic psychiatry is a plus, but not mandatory.
