Physician Assistant / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner- Surgery-Anesthesia Support Block Program

Summary

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center , is recruiting for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our inpatient surgical team. This position provides high-level clinical support to the Anesthesiologists by delivering oversight and daily management for placement of regional blocks for post-operative pain management; Assists Anesthesiologists by conducting interviews to obtain and perform medical histories and physical examinations on patients scheduled to receive anesthesia for a medical surgical or diagnostic procedure; Assists Anesthesiologists in facilitating regional block anesthesia care.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years of inpatient surgical care.
• Master's Degree required; successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification.
