Job Opportunity

A non-profit in Portland is looking to add a full-time accounting professional to support multiple parishes and schools in the Portland metro area. The role involves on-site visits with some flexibility. Ideal candidates are independent, personable, and capable of managing diverse accounting tasks across locations. Responsibilities will include payroll, AP / AR, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.

Skills and requirements :

• 5+ years bookkeeping experience
• Bachelor's in accounting preferred; associate degree or equivalent experience considered
• Proficient in QuickBooks (Online preferred) and ADP Payroll (WorkForce Now a plus)
• Strong reconciliation, reporting, and communication skills
• Knowledge of fixed assets, restricted funds, and internal controls
• Able to travel locally and maintain confidentiality
• Bachelor's in accounting preferred
• Mission-driven and collaborative
• Strong initiative and communication skills
• Experience with nonprofit or church accounting preferred
• CPA license or working towards license
