The salary range is $140,000-$150,000 USD annually.

POSITION SUMMARY
The
Director of Information Technology (IT)
provides operational and technology leadership in the strategic design, implementation, and support of organization-wide information technology services and infrastructure.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

Develop and implement a strategic technology plan for the school.
Provide leadership and oversee the day-to-day management of the IT department, including data network and backup systems, firewall and security issues, security systems, databases, servers, equipment, and telephone systems.
Identify, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies for classroom and administrative uses or to improve the current infrastructure.
Collaborate with faculty, department chairs, and division heads to deploy and integrate age- / grade-appropriate technology applications across the school.
Manages the 1 : 1 program in the school
Manage vendor relations, procurement, installation, and implementation of information systems.
Ensure the coordination, security, and efficiency of network infrastructure.
Develop and maintain the school's databases and internal and external networks.
Collaborate with the school directors for teaching, learning, and innovation in their respective campus.
Oversee the management of all IT inventory.
Provide maintenance and support for all IT resources.
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and provide strategic direction for the IT staff.
Develop and manage the IT budget.
Stay current on trends and new developments in the areas of educational technologies, software, hardware, networks, telecommunications, training, and maintenance.
Take an active role in professional activities and attend relevant professional meetings and conferences.
Performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited university or college in a related field.
Ten or more years of relevant professional experience, including strategic and hands-on IT leadership that successfully delivered a technology roadmap and diverse IT programs (encompassing both application systems and infrastructure). Preference for experience managing IT systems in a school environment using a prioritized and phased approach.
Experience managing IT for a $35M+ organization in an agile environment.
Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible supervisory experience managing a staff. Must have the ability to attract and retain key staff.
Strong communication skills, with a professional, approachable demeanor.
Proven execution skills, including strong organizational ability and the capacity to effectively prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment.
Flexible and able to effectively manage unexpected challenges and changes in direction or priority.
Willingness to collaborate and work as a team-player with a range of faculty, staff, and administrators throughout the School.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of information.
Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work.
Demonstrate a commitment to Rochambeau's vision, mission, values, and strategic aims.

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology Management, Business Administration, or Computer Science) and / or a combination of senior-level professional certifications.
Experience in a private, international, or school setting.
Bilingual fluency in French and English preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position primarily operates in a school / office environment. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, walking, standing, reaching, and bending. Extensive use of computers and other office equipment is also required. Occasionally, lifting or moving of equipment up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
