The ARNP is a multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice. The ARNP works directly with the physician to ensure quality patient care at the hospital. The ARNP assumes responsibility and accountability for providing safe and competent direct / indirect nursing care for all cardiac cath lab patients as determined appropriate for nurse practitioners in the State of Florida. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication, sound problem-solving skills and efficient planning and work organization. Documents patient care data in a timely and comprehensive manner. Always demonstrates service excellence and exhibits ability to perform duties at an excellent level under stressful working environment. The ARNP will be responsible for IP care and consultation, diagnostic testing, and follow up care, under the supervising physician within the Manatee Health Systems and satellite clinics. Works with Heart Valve Navigator to ensure that the Structural Heart Center is compliant with regulatory standards of care. Works with nursing navigators to maintain accreditation for structural heart programs and required quarterly meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ANA accredited School of Nursing
• Graduate of Nurse Practitioner program with MS degree
• Current and active State of FL Advanced Registered Nurse
• Practitioner License that includes prescriptive privileges
• Certified by the AANP or the ANCC
• Maintain current Certifications by AHA in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) is required
• DEA required within 6 months of employment
• 3-5 years cardiac experience preferred
• Demonstrate clinical expertise and assessment in the management of cardiac patients
• Maintaining continuing education credits per state regulations
• Exhibits outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
