Job Summary :
Our client is seeking an RPG Developer to join their team! This position is located in Tampa, Florida.
Duties :
- Collaborate with business and systems teams to design, develop, and maintain applications supporting operations
- Identify and recommend enhancements to development methodologies, tools, and environments
- Perform advanced programming tasks using RPG to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions
- Design, integrate, and support multi-platform systems to improve productivity, scalability, and reusability
- Translate complex business models and requirements into detailed, actionable system specifications
- Contribute to the creation of comprehensive test plans and participate in debugging and issue resolution
- Analyze incoming job requests to assess feasibility, resource requirements, and system impact
- Execute assignments that align with overall business strategies, operational goals, and organizational initiatives
Desired Skills / Experience :
10+ years of relevant experience in application development and systems integrationProficient in RPG / 400, RPG-ILE, and RPG Free format programmingSkilled in CL programming, IBM DB2, and SQLExperienced with Service Programs, ILE Modules, bound programs, and binding directoriesProven ability to expose iSeries programs for web applications using stored procedures or web servicesStrong leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and directing development teamsDemonstrated expertise in managing projects across the full software development lifecycleAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities with a sense of urgencyBenefits :
