Communications Systems Engineer
We're supporting one of our clients in finding a Communication Systems Engineer to join them in the US.
Required :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related quantitative discipline.
- Extensive customer-facing experience in a technical or product role.
- Proven track record in delivering integrated systems comprising hardware, embedded software, application software, and mechanical components.

- Demonstrated experience in testing and validating distributed electronic and software systems.
- Utilized extensive product and industry knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales and business development teams, including conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Experience in LAN / WAN networking and IT Network Operations.
- Skilled in managing Linux servers, preferably Debian-based systems, including setting up and administering common services, routing, and IP.
- Some programming skills and familiarity with version control tools.
- Ability to manually handle equipment weighing up to 10kg.
Bonus :
- Advantageous to have technical sales experience.
- Skilled in wireless network deployment, and wireless LAN controllers, and adept at networking in dynamic environments.
- Experience with requirements management and lifecycle management tools.
- Experience with requirements management and lifecycle management tools.
- Experience in database administration.
- Familiarity with automation platforms like Saltstack, Puppet, Ansible, etc
- Experience working in virtualized and cloud-based environments.
- Self-motivated and innovative, with a continuous drive to improve both products and processes.
- Experience in the rail vehicle industry and knowledge of rolling stock regulations, especially in defining and specifying systems for installation on rail vehicles, is highly advantageous.
- Some understanding of the US rail / bus market is desirable.
- Proven ability to contribute to the sales process, including responding to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
