Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive or 55b / c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer.

Requirements for Appointment at Each Level :
For Teacher 2 : Current New York State Education Department initial certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.
For Teacher 3 : Current New York State Education Department permanent / professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.
For Teacher 4 : Current New York State Education Department permanent / professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (initial or permanent / professional) teaching experience in that same specialty.
This position may be designated 55 b / c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.
Duties Description Instruct a course(s) recognized by the New York State Education Department.
Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines.
Prepare daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facility.
Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
