Job description

We are seeking 1 2 Board-Certified Anesthesiologists to join a well-supported hospital-based group in Waterloo, Iowa for a high-paying locum tenens assignment beginning in late September or early October 2025 . Schedule & Coverage

  • Start : Late September or early October (must be able to start by then)
  • Duration : Ongoing
  • Monday to Friday : 6 : 30 AM 4 : 30 PM
  • Night Call : Every 3 4 days (1st, 2nd, 3rd call structure)
  • Weekend Call : Rotating, not fixed (1st call activated 75% of time)
  • Minimum Availability : 2 weeks per month accepted
  • No clinic responsibilities

Scope of Practice

  • General Anesthesia (including OB with TOLAC)
  • Light Peds (mainly tonsils / adenoids)
  • Conscious sedation required
  • No hearts or neurosurgery
  • EMR : Epic (live as of May 2025)
  • Support Staff : 6 physicians, 2 CRNAs
  • OR Volume : cases / day department-wide across 13 ORs

    • Compensation

  • Weekday hourly : $390 / hr
  • Night call : $598 / hr
  • 24hr call : $2,660 / day (includes 4 gratis hours)
  • All travel, lodging, and malpractice covered

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified in Anesthesiology ( BE not accepted )
  • Active Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ in hand
  • ACLS (can be completed during credentialing)
  • Fully COVID vaccinated
  • Clean malpractice history required
