The Senior Controls Engineer is an integral part of Champion’s continued success in applying Process Automation and SCADA solutions. This critical, high-profile role is primarily focused on PLC control and SCADA data visualization; incorporating automation, energy monitoring and optimization system analytics.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions :

• Programming, configuring and maintaining PLC programs and SCADA objects in SCADA system that control and model field assets
• Deploying and configuring SCADA objects to support data acquisition from field assets as they are brought online and changed in the field
• Create and enforce project specific standards, augment and enhance solutions, benchmark individual and application performance metrics as well as estimate level of effort for initiatives.
• Creation and binding of animated visualizations of system graphics and operator interface screens
• Generating custom programming scripts to handle global functions
• Create Submittals for projects
• Commissioning and startup for instrumentation and controls projects
