Phlebotomist
Job Description
We’re expanding our team and looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our clinic. This role is ideal for someone who brings both technical precision and a calm, reassuring presence to every patient interaction. You’ll play a key role in specimen collection and processing, while also supporting workflow improvements and team training.
Responsibilities
Perform venipunctures using straight and butterfly needles with accuracy and care.
Label, centrifuge, split, and store specimens according to test requirements.
Maintain and decontaminate equipment, and ensure proper documentation.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and caregivers about procedures.
Follow physicians’ orders and verify requisition forms against specimen tubes.
Package and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
Respond to phone inquiries and relay lab results professionally.
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience with phlebotomy
High School Diploma or GED.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong phlebotomy technique and attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot and suggest workflow improvements.
Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 / hr.
