Position Summary
The Data Center Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a mission-critical environment for a lottery client. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for maintaining operational health, performance, and service delivery, while leading a local operations team and collaborating with centralized support and technical groups.
Act as the main liaison for all contracted data systems, software applications, and operations, ensuring optimal performance of the lottery client’s business.
Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met through proactive system monitoring, supported by a centralized monitoring team.
Lead, coach, and support a remote operations team to deliver reliable, high-quality service.
Establish, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and operational playbooks.
Oversee local client maintenance activities, software releases, upgrades, and site-specific initiatives.
Ensure all application software is thoroughly tested, validated, and approved before client handover.
Coordinate software deployments and ensure operational readiness.
Work closely with technical, development, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues.
Maintain compliance with change management protocols, security patching, and regulatory standards.
Drive tactical project execution aligned with business and client priorities.
Provide timely and clear communication to stakeholders regarding system performance, incidents, and project updates.
Manage multiple projects at various stages to ensure contract deliverables are met on time and to specification.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in IT or 7–10 years of relevant experience.
Experience
Demonstrated success in operations management within a mission-critical setting, ideally in the lottery, gaming, or transaction-based industries.
