Duration : 6 Months Contract + Extension

Terms of Employment :

  • Contract, Six Months (Possible Extension)
  • This position is primarily remote. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in the Owings Mills, MD, Columbia, MD, or Baltimore, MD offices once per month.

Overview & Responsibilities :

  • We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager for a 6-month contract with our client, a leading healthcare organization. This is a "behind-the-scenes" role focused on bringing structure, organization, and process improvement to the Provider Relations department. You will work closely with the team to manage and organize incoming requests, track team performance metrics, and support critical departmental projects, including medical record retrieval. The ideal candidate is an organized, process-driven PM with a background in healthcare who excels at tracking, reporting, and creating efficiencies.

  • Plan, organize, and manage smaller, departmental-level projects and strategies.
  • Support and help coordinate medical record retrieval projects.
  • Track and report on all intake coming into the Provider Relations team, monitoring resolution times and other key metrics.
  • Analyze departmental workflows, identify barriers, and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in establishing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring projects.
  • Report out on project status and departmental performance to team leadership.
  • Track project components and progress using Microsoft Excel.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • 2-4 years of project management experience.
  • Experience working within a healthcare or health insurance environment.
  • Specific experience with medical record retrieval processes.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with experience in process improvement.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting.
  • Experience with the full Microsoft Office suite, including MS Teams.
  • Must be willing to work onsite once per month.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with project management software.
  • Familiarity with health insurance claims systems (like Facets).
