General Summary :
- Under general supervision of the president and in collaboration with the managerial team, the position is responsible for providing medical services to the patients of LECOM Health Medical Associates of Erie.
Main Functions :
Provide patient education on eye health and disease prevention.Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction, and slip lamp examinations.Duties and Responsibilities :
Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases, such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.Perform surgical procedures, such as cataract extraction, LASIK, and corneal transplantation.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient visits and treatment.Prescribe and fit corrective lenses or contact lenses as needed.Stay up to date with the latest advancements in ophthalmology through continued education and research.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
