Electrical Engineer- Relay Protection and Control / High Voltage

Description

An Engineer with Asplundh Engineering Services (AES) will lead a team or work on a team to complete engineering tasks and create custom engineering solutions to meet customer needs. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving industry.   An ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills while excelling in a team-based environment. The candidate should approach all tasks in a detail-oriented manner, with a strong sense of ownership over all deliverables. Key Responsibilities

• Creating and reviewing Protection & Control settings designs
• Performing protection studies and analyses to develop basis documents and relay setting files
• Creating and reviewing HMI (Human-Machine Interface) settings
• Creating and reviewing RTU settings designs
• Designing and configuring operating characteristics of managed switches and LANs
• Reviewing current industry best practices to ensure compliance with cyber security requirements
• Performing any entry-level engineering role in the design aspects of engineering projects and assisting other departmental engineers
• Performing on-site engineering support when needed
• Planning and coordinating projects with limited supervision
• Understanding and delivering results based on client-specific standards and requirements
• Training and developing junior personnel
• Leading portions of a project while working on a team to reach a common goal
