Position : Snowflake Python ETL Engineer

Location : Boston, MA (Hybrid)

Duration : Contract

Job Description : Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Python ETL Engineer for a contract role to support a healthcare data modernization initiative.
The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing end-to-end ETL / ELT data pipelines on the Snowflake cloud data platform.
This role focuses on integrating large-scale healthcare datasets including claims, clinical, and operational data while ensuring data quality, performance, security, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities :

Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL / ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and Snowflake

Ingest and transform healthcare data from multiple source systems into Snowflake

Optimize Snowflake performance using clustering, query tuning, and cost-efficient compute usage

Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks

Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and business teams to support reporting and analytics needs

Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security requirements (HIPAA)

Document data pipelines, workflows, and technical solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Strong experience with Snowflake architecture and development

Hands-on Python experience for ETL / ELT and data processing

Advanced SQL skills and data modeling experience

Experience working with healthcare data (Claims, EHR, HL7 / FHIR preferred)

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Experience with scheduling / orchestration tools (Airflow or similar is a plus)
