Litigation Paralegal
LHH is seeking a litigation paralegal with defense litigation experience interested in a full-time, permanent job opportunity with a well-respected firm in New Orleans, LA?
You will be responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, etc.
- maintaining department records, both physically and electronically; calendaring; case management; all aspects of discovery;
- coordinating court dates and appearances; trial prep; deposition prep; scheduling meetings with witnesses and other involved parties;
legal research; document production; and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized multi-tasker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a high volume desk in a relaxed atmosphere. If you are a skilled and efficient insurance defense paralegal who exhibits high attention to detail and who remains calm under pressure, this is the role for you!
Qualifications :
- 3+ years of defense litigation experience
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
- Great communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, no-job-too-small mindset
- Work from home one day a week
Salary : $70,000-$75,000 / yr.
