Primary Responsibilities
- Leads the buildout and standardization of Quality Assurance practices across technology projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coaches and provides guidance best practices in QA testing practices.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and specifications.
- Designs and develops test plans, test cases, test scripts and test metrics to ensure comprehensive test coverage for various software applications and features.
- Executes manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
- Identifies, documents, and tracks software defects using bug tracking systems, and works closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Conducts root cause analysis for defects and provide recommendations for improvement to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Collaborates with development teams to ensure early detection and prevention of defects by participating in requirements review, design review, and code review sessions.
- Communicates early forecasting of identified risks, along with estimating potential loss of time due to risks.
- Performs regression testing to ensure that software changes and updates do not introduce new defects or impact existing functionality.
- Evaluates and improves the quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools used within the SDLC.
- Maintains abreast with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality assurance and software testing.
Secondary Responsibilities :
- Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required
- 5-7 years of Quality Assurance experience in the finance industry required
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role, preferably in a software development environment required
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies required
- Proficient in designing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans required
- Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques and tools required
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems and version control systems required
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams required
- Professional certifications in software quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB) are desirable.
