Lead Quality Assurance Analyst

Primary Responsibilities

• Leads the buildout and standardization of Quality Assurance practices across technology projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coaches and provides guidance best practices in QA testing practices.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and specifications.
• Designs and develops test plans, test cases, test scripts and test metrics to ensure comprehensive test coverage for various software applications and features.
• Executes manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
• Identifies, documents, and tracks software defects using bug tracking systems, and works closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Conducts root cause analysis for defects and provide recommendations for improvement to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Collaborates with development teams to ensure early detection and prevention of defects by participating in requirements review, design review, and code review sessions.
• Communicates early forecasting of identified risks, along with estimating potential loss of time due to risks.
• Performs regression testing to ensure that software changes and updates do not introduce new defects or impact existing functionality.
• Evaluates and improves the quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools used within the SDLC.
• Maintains abreast with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality assurance and software testing.

Secondary Responsibilities :

• Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required
• 5-7 years of Quality Assurance experience in the finance industry required
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role, preferably in a software development environment required
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies required
• Proficient in designing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans required
• Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques and tools required
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems and version control systems required
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment required
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams required
• Professional certifications in software quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB) are desirable.
