The Role
We are seeking a
strategic, inspiring Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to lead finance across North America. This is a high-impact role that goes far beyond reporting numbers. We need a
business-minded financial leader
who can guide two separate schools, align coast-to-coast teams, and partner with executives in Paris to ensure both
growth and compliance
at the highest level.
This role requires a rare blend : someone who thrives in
complex financial structures , understands
U.S. education regulations
inside and out, and can also inspire and elevate teams to new levels of performance.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Build : Oversee and mentor finance teams at Miami Ad School and Gnomon. Where needed,
build a new finance team from the ground up , creating culture, structure, and accountability.
Drive Business Growth : Ensure financial data is actionable, insightful, and tied directly to growth, enrollment, and profitability goals.
Maintain Compliance Excellence : Safeguard the organization’s standing with accreditors, regulators, and the Department of Education by ensuring flawless compliance in areas such as
Title IV funding, composite scores, and state-level education regulations .
Optimize Operations : Balance growth and expense control, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting that drive better decision-making.
Work Globally : Provide timely, accurate, and strategic financial reporting to Groupe EDH headquarters in Paris, ensuring alignment with international standards and expectations.
Be a Teacher & Mentor : Elevate the financial acumen of leaders and teams across the schools, empowering them with data and insights that shape smarter decisions.
Accounting & Control
Ensure production of reliable financial information, including U.S. consolidated accounts and statutory accounts in US GAAP for each school.
Harmonize accounting procedures with Groupe EDH standards in France.
Organize and manage monthly / annual closings for all entities.
Maintain relationships with auditors, accountants, controllers, and insurers.
Provide variance analysis and corrective action plans, and present periodic reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Treasury & Taxation
Manage cash flow forecasting and financing needs across U.S. entities in coordination with the Group CFO in Paris.
Oversee banking relationships and negotiate conditions to optimize liquidity and security of financial flows.
Ensure compliance with U.S. tax obligations, supervise filings, and liaise with tax law firms.
Finance Systems & Internal Control
Evaluate, select, and implement financial systems to support modernization and growth.
Design, implement, and enforce internal control policies and procedures that meet U.S. and international standards.
Continuously improve financial tools and monitoring processes to support management decision-making.
Who You Are
An accomplished
CFO or senior finance leader
with proven experience managing multi‑site or multi‑entity organizations.
Expert in
accounting, finance, and compliance —especially within regulated industries (education a strong plus).
Knowledgeable in
higher education compliance , including Title IV, accreditation requirements, financial responsibility standards, and composite scores.
Skilled in
building and leading teams , with the ability to develop talent, foster collaboration, and create a culture of excellence.
Fluent in
financial storytelling —able to translate numbers into strategy and inspire stakeholders at every level.
Comfortable operating in a
global context , aligning with international leadership and navigating cross‑border reporting.
