Chief Business Officer at GVW Group. The role works with the Chairman to execute on the vision across GVW Group’s portfolio, driving operations, finance, and transformation initiatives while managing risk.
What you will do
As the Chief Business Officer, you will work closely with the Chairman to understand the vision and desired outcomes for GVW Group’s portfolio. You will translate that vision into finance and business operations across portfolio companies, developing processes to foster accountability and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring strong critical thinking and sound judgment. We are seeking a proven history of successful execution of operations and experience enabling strategic vision through transformation initiatives, while managing operational and financial risk. Role
Engage with the Chairman’s desired state for GVW Group’s portfolio of companies
Implement and manage operating policies and processes to execute the Chairman’s vision
Translate strategic C-suite goals into actionable plans for employees; discuss strategic options (e.g., organic growth, M&A)
Develop and execute analysis of business initiatives (e.g., opening new operations, asset acquisition, product / service launches, disposition of non-performing areas)
Challenge C-suite and CEO opinions while serving as a trusted advisor
Ensure compliance with all internal and external stakeholders and agencies
Improve cash flow and working capital efficiency
Measure the impact of new policies and processes to ensure results align with goals
Achieve specific, targeted goals for each business unit based on the portfolio strategy
Build a culture of accountability at the leadership and employee levels
Set up performance targets, monitor progress, and report KPIs to leadership
Align resources and find synergies across operations to enhance the portfolio
Implement appropriate reward and recognition models
Design organizational structures and innovate business models by linking market developments to operations
Uphold the company value system and lead by example
Create a framework for the companies’ innovation processes involving workforce, clients, and suppliers

Experience
BS in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
Preference for CFO or executive-level business operations experience
Minimum of 20 years of experience with increasing responsibilities
Experience in business process design and improvement
Proven track record of delivering multiple projects on time and on budget
Strong general business acumen with exposure to diverse businesses

Where will you work?
The Chief Business Officer role will be based at either our Miami, FL, or Birmingham, AL office, with travel to portfolio company locations as necessary.
