Machine Operator – Wood (CNC Operator)
2nd shift : Monday-Friday 2 : 00pm-10 : 00pm
POSITION SUMMARY
Candidate will program and operate CNC woodworking machinery, as well as finishing and assembly of components as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and Operate CNC machines to perform a variety of tasks
- Understand specifications of the task and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands to enable the machines to perform the correct function
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Conduct a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure the process has been completed properly
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure optimum functionality
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Two year associates degree preferredBackground in woodworking field preferredREQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
Proven experience as a CNC operator preferredPrior skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling preferred as well as precision measurement toolsAbility to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawingsMechanical aptitude and excellent math skills.Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD / CAM preferredCompany Description
